CHANCES supports the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities, and their families, throughout Stone County. Our focus is on an individual’s ABILITY and their personal GOALS….and having FUN, of course!
Many of our members participate in various activities throughout the year, including:
- Camp through Camp Barnabas
- Employment and life skills training through the Barnabas Preparatory Program
- Group activities throughout the year (outings to Springfield Cardinals games, The Track Family Fun Parks, Dewey Short Visitors Center, bowling, music shows and more!)
- Sports through Special Olympics, A Sporting Chance, and Champion Athletes
Club Day Break
Currently open to adults with developmental disabilities on Tuesdays and Thursdays, staff and volunteers are available to offer a fun environment with activities that promote daily living skills, communication, socialization, independence and purpose.
While everyone is truly different, we have many shared experiences that are a common thread for families with loved ones who have special needs. The CHANCES community is a space where you can express your thoughts, seek support and share information with fellow members.
